Bridging the gap between innovation and real-world application, the Centre for Intelligent Product Development (CiPD) at IIIT-Delhi conducted an 8-10 week summer course to help students transition their Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) into industry-ready prototypes. The program focused on refining initial designs, improving manufacturability, and ensuring seamless software-hardware integration to create functional, scalable products.

Students gained hands-on experience with industry-standard microcontrollers, advanced PCB design, and product form factor optimization throughout the course. The program also emphasized cost-effective component selection, testability, repairability, and UI/UX considerations to make products more viable for real-world deployment. With mentorship from faculty and industry experts, participants worked on integrating industrial design concepts and aligning their prototypes with market expectations.

By the end of the program, students successfully developed and demonstrated fully functional prototypes, equipped with the skills and knowledge to take their innovations beyond the lab and into real-world applications. This summer course provided a strong foundation for aspiring product developers, fostering the next generation of intelligent, manufacturable, and impactful technological solutions.
