About the Program
The iPD-CP is a 24-week immersive program that blends theoretical learning with practical, industry-oriented training. Developed in collaboration with industry experts and leading academic institutions, the program provides hands-on experience in:

- Testing, validation & production readiness
Participants will work on real-world projects, participate in industry visits, and engage in ideation and productathons to develop innovative and market-ready electronics products.

Scholarship
Attractive scholarships are available to meritorious, women and EWS candidates:
1. Merit Based Scholarships (20 Nos)
- Toppers in well-defined courses (to be listed as per IIITD recognized) 10-Nos – 25000/15000/10000 (INR)
- Winners of recognized (by CiPD) hackathons – 10 Nos – 25000/15000/10000 (INR)
2. Non-Merit Based Scholarship (No Limit)
- EWS Scholarship 25000 INR-if no Merit based scholarship availed, 10000 INR – if any other merit-based scholarship availed
- Women candidate Scholarship 10000 INR

READY Program
- Support of up to INR 5 lakhs for 6 months
- Includes a monthly stipend of INR 25000/- for graduates and graduate students INR 12000/- for students in the final year of their degree program.
- Cost of consumables for Proof of Concept + Prototype designs.
- Additional support of up to 10 lakhs based on prototype status at the end of the program
Entrepreneur in Residence Program
- Support of up to INR 4 lakhs for 12 months
- Includes stipend of INR 30000/- for graduate and final semester students

Q. What is iPD-CP program?

Q. Who is the program designed for?
A. The program is ideal for aspiring engineers, product designers, and innovators seeking practical experience in intelligent hardware development, embedded systems, and concept-to-prototype creation.
Q. What is the program's structure, and what topics will be covered?
A. The program is structured into modules covering the complete product development life cycle. Topics include Design Thinking, User-Centered Design, Embedded Hardware & Software, System Integration, Testing & Validation, and Production Readiness.
Participants will work on capstone projects to develop production-ready prototypes.
Q. Is the program full-time or part-time?
A. The iPD-CP is a full-time, on-campus program spanning 24 weeks. Attendance and participation in all sessions, labs, and projects are mandatory.
Q. Where will the program be conducted?
A. The program will be delivered in person at IIIT-Delhi. The program has hands-on labs, industry mentorship, and collaborative learning opportunities.
Q. What kind of projects will I be working on?
A. Capstone Project is the highlight of this program. Participants will work on real-world projects focused on intelligent product development—from ideation and prototyping to production-ready hardware solutions. A capstone project will be part of the curriculum to demonstrate end-to-end product development.
Q. What kind of faculty will be teaching in the program?
A. The program is led by expert faculty from IIIT-Delhi and industry veterans with extensive experience in product development, embedded systems, and design thinking.
Q. What would be the timings of the program in the day?
A. The typical day would start at 9:30 in the morning, there will be a mid-day lunch break and after lunch the program will continue till 5:00 in the evening.

Q. How can I apply for the program?
A. Application details, including eligibility criteria and deadlines, can be found on the official program website or by contacting the program coordinators.
Q. What documents are required at the time of admission?
A. You must submit relevant documents, including academic records, identity proof (Aadhar), and category certificates (for scholarships, EWS, etc.). Originals must be presented during verification.
Q. Can international students apply?
A. Currently, the program is focused on Indian nationals. However, interested international applicants are encouraged to contact the program office for international student fees & enrolment.
Q. Is there any age limit for applicants?
A. There is no age limit. Anyone who is interested in learning science, engineering & the art of product development should apply.
Q. Is iDP-CP a residential program?
A. No, you will have to arrange your stay independently.

Q. I have completed my graduation but am not working. Am I eligible for the program?
A. Yes, Recent graduates looking to upskill and enhance their employability can apply for the program.
Q. Who is eligible to apply for the program?
A. Final-year engineering/diploma students, recent graduates, hardware startups, entrepreneurs, and working professionals interested in embedded systems, product design, and electronics prototyping are eligible to apply.
Q. I do not have a background in CSE/ECE/ME. Am I still eligible for the program?
A. Please refer to the Eligibility tab for the list of allied branches. Nonetheless, we encourage all interested candidates to apply, as the screening committee will make the final decision regarding shortlisting.
Fee/Scholarship-related queries
Q. Can I pay the program fee for installments?
A. Yes, the program fee of INR 1,25,000 + GST can be paid in three installments. Candidates also have the option to pay the full cost in advance and avail of a discount of INR 5,000.
Q. What is the refund policy for the program fee?
A. Refunds are allowed based on the withdrawal timeline. Deductions apply depending on how close the withdrawal is to the program’s start. No refunds are provided after July 27, 2025.
Q. Are there any scholarships available?
A. Yes, attractive scholarships are available for meritorious candidates, EWS applicants, and women. Scholarships range from INR 10,000 to INR 25,000 based on merit and eligibility.
Q. Can I get both merit-based and EWS scholarships?
A. Yes, but if you avail of any merit-based scholarship, the EWS scholarship amount will be INR 10,000 instead of INR 25,000.
Q. Can my program fee be adjusted against a scholarship?
A. No, the program fee must be paid as per the scheduled deadlines. If awarded, ready and other scholarships will be processed after the second week of the program.
Q. What extra charges do I need to pay after paying the program fee?
A. The institute will provide all essential equipment and components required for the program. However, if you wish to work with any advanced or specific tools beyond the program scope (e.g., additional microcontrollers), the cost will need to be borne by the
student.
Internship/Employment/Industry-related queries
Q. Are there any industry collaborations or visits included?
A. Yes, participants will have opportunities to visit industry facilities, interact with professionals, and gain valuable insights into real-world product development processes.
Q. Will I receive a certificate after completing the training?
A. You will receive a certificate upon completing the program and the final project.
Q. Can I consider this program as an internship?
A. Yes, Final year students who are expected to do an internship as a part of their curriculum can register for this program, internship duration will be a minimum of 6 months but can be extended to one year, we’ll issue a certificate accordingly.
Q. Will I get paid for the internship?
A. We are working on scholarships like Ready Scholarship, all scholarships will be open after the 2nd week of the start of program.
Q. Will the program provide job assistance after completion?
A. This program is curated and will be delivered by experts from the industry. These engagements will ensure that all the students will be certified by the program and will find good opportunities in the industry.
Q. Will the program help me if I want to launch my hardware startup?
A. Absolutely! The program includes entrepreneurship, mentorship, and potential incubation or funding support for promising startup ideas.
Q. Are there any placement or employment opportunities after the program?
A. This program is curated and will be delivered by experts from the industry. These engagements will ensure that all the students will be certified by the program and will find good opportunities in the industry.
