India is at a crucial juncture in its goal to become a self-reliant hub for electronics design and manufacturing. While the country has made significant strides in software and IT services, the domestic electronics industry remains heavily dependent on imports. To bridge this gap and strengthen the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) ecosystem, the Intelligent Product Development – Certification Program (iPD-CP) has been launched.
This program will upskill students, graduates, and professionals in intelligent electronics product design, embedded systems, and innovation. The initiative aligns with the Atma Nirbhar Bharat and Make in India missions, ensuring participants gain hands-on expertise in designing, prototyping, and manufacturing globally competitive electronic products.
About the Program
The iPD-CP is a 24-week immersive program that blends theoretical learning with practical, industry-oriented training. Developed in collaboration with industry experts and leading academic institutions, the program provides hands-on experience in:
- Intelligent hardware development
- Embedded systems & product design
- Concept-to-prototype development
- Design thinking & user-centered design
- Testing, validation & production readiness
Participants will work on real-world projects, participate in industry visits, and engage in ideation and productathons to develop innovative and market-ready electronics products.

Program Delivery & Learning Model
The program will be delivered in person at IIIT-Delhi and Spoke Centers under the Chips to Startup (C2S) program. Learning will include:
